THE ENFANTS DU MONDE ORGANISATION
A Swiss humanitarian organisation for the education and health of disadvantaged children and mothers
Enfants du Monde is a Swiss humanitarian NGO founded in 1967 and based in Geneva. For more than 50 years it has been promoting the education and health of disadvantaged children, mothers and pregnant women.
The organisation operates in some of Africa, Asia and Latin America's poorest countries to bring access to a quality education and maternal and child health services to the most disadvantaged. Our Swiss NGO also contributes to implementing and respecting the rights of children across the world with a sustainable development perspective.
Enfants du Monde employs about 20 experts at its Swiss head office and has 3 regional coordination offices in Bangladesh, Burkina Faso and Guatemala, as well as an office for the programme in Chad.
A trustworthy humanitarian organisation
Certified with the Swiss ZEWO quality seal since 1971, our Swiss humanitarian association counts not only with the confidence and financial support of our partners, but also with our ambassadors’ involvement.
The relevance of Enfant du Monde's programmes and its expertise are recognised by international cooperation actors, donors and local actors. Most notably, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation financially supports our association and has granted our NGO mandates to implement projects to improve the quality of education in several African countries. We have also been recognised by the World Health Organization as technical partners, we collaborate with the Swiss Solidarity (Chaîne du Bonheur) and are members of the Geneva Federation for Cooperation and Development. In Chad, we are supported by the French Development Agency.
