Projet education Formation des formateurs Burkina FasoAccess to public schools has made rapid progress in recent years in Burkina Faso. Perhaps too fast, because the improvement in quality could not follow this development. Today, about 50% of adults who have completed primary school cannot read or write.

Enfants du Monde has been active for many years in Burkina Faso by supporting non-state schools. The year 2017 marks the beginning of a new collaboration with the State that appealed to our association to find a solution to improve the quality of bilingual education in public schools as well.

With the technical and financial support of Enfants du Monde, the Ministry of Education has developed a program for the training of teacher educators and primary school teachers. On September 19, a total of 30 teachers and 30 heads of bilingual state schools took a training program lasting one month, to improve the quality of their teaching.
