From 1 October 2022, Enfants du Monde will only use the QR-invoice, which has a black and white pattern, the Swiss QR-Code. The QR-invoice will thus permanently replace the red and orange payment slips. It simplifies payment with your smartphone and helps to avoid input errors.

What is a QR code?

The QR code on the QR-invoice contains all the key information for making a payment. You can read the QR code by opening your banking application and scanning it with your smartphone or computer's webcam. All payment data is also written in clear text next to the QR code.

How to make a donation with a QR-invoice?

It is very simple. All the payment details are always next to the QR code.

There are 4 possibilities to make your donation using the QR-invoice:

1. On your computer

Log in to your online banking service (e-banking). Follow the instructions to enter a new payment. Hold the QR in front of your computer's webcam. All information is automatically read and displayed on the screen. You can change the amount and add a message in the corresponding field, if necessary.

However, processing this data means additional work for Enfants du Monde.

2. With your smartphone

Log in to the mobile application (m-banking) of your bank or PostFinance. Follow the instructions to enter a new payment. Place the QR in front of your smartphone screen. All the required information is automatically saved. You can change the amount and add a message in the corresponding field, if necessary.

However, processing this data means additional work for Enfants du Monde.

3. By payment order to your bank

The QR-invoice works almost like a regular payment slip. Simply attach it to your payment order and send it to your bank. If the amount is not pre-printed on the QR-invoice, please specify the amount of your donation.

Please note: it is no longer possible to add a handwritten note on the new QR-invoice.

4. At the post office counter

Bring your QR-invoice to the post office counter. The staff there will process it for you. You can pay with your PostFinance card or in cash. In this case, please have your ID ready.

Good to know: the post office charges a fee to charities for donations received through this method.

Are my standing orders still valid?

Standing orders based on an ISR must be adapted to the new QR-invoice with QR-IBAN and QR reference. Otherwise, they will no longer be executed from 1 October 2022. In order for your standing orders to Enfants du Monde to remain valid, please ensure that you indicate the account number in IBAN format (CH98 3000 0001 1200 0415 4) present on the QR-invoice and no longer use the old account number that may have been pre-registered in your e-banking.

What about my direct debit orders?

Your direct debit orders remain valid, you do not need to do anything.

Is donating with a QR-invoice secure?

Yes, all the information in the QR code is written in clear text on the right. Once you have scanned the QR code, we recommend that you check this information before completing the payment.
