CME photo enfant05.05.2014 – From 4th to 10th May, the Global Campaign for Education, an international coalition of non-governmental organizations, highlights the importance of combining education and handicap and enabling all the children to receive free and quality education. During this Global Action Week, called “Equal right, Equal Opportunity”, many happenings all around the world will promote access to education. In Burkina Faso, for instance, the disabled children are half as likely to attend a public school as the others.

Enfants du Monde takes part in this action to raise awareness with its project “A Song for Education”.

This project invites pupils from 8 to 14 years old, in Switzerland and in Burkina Faso, to express their opinion on the importance of quality education by writing songs on the topic. Various French-speaking Swiss classes will record in a studio the songs they wrote during the Global Action Week for Education. The 10th May 2014, a concert will bring together the sponsors of the project, i.e. the Swiss artists K, Nicolas Fraissinet and Marc Aymon.
