Swapna Roy, une élève bénéficiaire du projet en éducation d'Enfants du Monde25.01.2013 -In Bangladesh, one of the seven poorest countries in the world, many children are obliged to work so they can contribute to the family income. So they have to give up their education and their hopes for a better future.

Swapna Roy is 18 and lives in a small remote village in Northwest Bangladesh, a particularly poor region. Unlike other young people, Swapna was lucky: just 2 kilometres away from her village, there is a school supported by Enfants du Monde. There, she not only receives basic education, but also vocational training so she can earn some money to support her family.

“I am very happy to be attending this school! My favourite lesson is sewing. Later, I would like to be a teacher so that I, in my turn, can teach sewing to disadvantaged children.”
