12.07.2013 - Working as volunteers, Santiago Prieto (Colombia) and Nicholas Trumble (United Kingdom) have put together a film and set it to music to celebrate Enfants du Monde’s first 45 years. To mark this occasion, Enfants du Monde wanted to showcase its various programmes in a new way.
It was with great enthusiasm that Santiago and Nicholas got down to work. First Nicholas collated the various images (those recently filmed in Burkina Faso by Fabrice Ravier for the “Song for Education” project, among others) in order to make them into a film, as an invitation to the journey through the programmes. Then, Santiago created the music: “It was with great pleasure that I agreed to write the music for Enfants du Monde! I studied music and political science in Bogotá and I have always been interested in humanitarian and development work.”
Enfants du Monde thanks them warmly for their commitment and professionalism!
Santiago’s band, “Monsieur Periné” mixes Latin American music and French gypsy jazz. It is on tour in Europe this summer and will be in concert at the Montreux Jazz Festival this Sunday 14 July. Don’t hesitate to go and hear them!
