02.01.2012 - «I have four children, three of whom were born at home. Only Yulisa Beralis was born at the hospital. During the training sessions on mothers’ and babies’ health, we were advised of the importance of having medical supervision during pregnancy as well during and after childbirth. Today, pregnant women are encouraged by their families and midwives to go to the hospital.

There are no more home births and therefore our town has not had any more maternal deaths. In addition, our babies rarely have diarrhoea and pneumonia thanks to the regular checkups that are now free of charge.»
