Une école soutenue par Enfants du Monde au Guatemala09.26.2012 - There was once a boy called Fredy who lived in a little village in Guatemala. He dreamed of becoming a teacher… Unfortunately, in his village, there was no school. Fredy’s dreams faded away.

But luckily for Fredy, Enfants du Monde opened a school in his village. He was able to go to school and with a grant he could continue his studies in Canada and the United States. For the first time in his life he left his village which had no electricity!

Today, Fredy Quib Oxom teaches English at his old school. “I came back to Peña Blanca because I want to share what I have learnt and show young people that their dreams can come true. Nothing is impossible!”

This may sound like a fairy tale, but it is actually a true story: Enfants du Monde provides a quality education for more than 4,700 children from Guatemala, thus supporting them in their efforts to take charge of their own lives and succeed – just like Fredy.
