Photo d'une mère et de son bébé au Burkina Faso10.23.2012 - Enfants du Monde has entered into a partnership with “L’Observateur”, a privately owned daily newspaper in Burkina Faso. Local journalists write articles documenting our education and health projects in Burkina Faso for our media communication feeds such as our website, Facebook and our trimestrial information bulletin “le Mond’Info”. The goal is to be as close as possible to the reality of life in the field and to present articles written by professionals.

The first article will be published in the next issue of Mond’Info. The journalist Hyacinthe Sanou has visited villages in the Centre-East region of Burkina Faso, where he has met pregnant and young women in order to learn more on the behavioural changes of their husbands. Contrary to tradition, these men are more involved in their wives pregnancy; they accompany them to their medical appointments and they help out with household tasks. The result: fewer women die during pregnancy or childbirth.
