02.14.2011 - Recently, the “Second Chance School” project, supported by Enfants du Monde in Niger was extended to the Tahoua region at the Sahel border. Two new classes were opened and now 80 girls and boys can go to school.

This project aims to educate children of ages 9 to 13 who have never been to school or who left school too early. Initiated in 2005, five classes are located in Niamey, the capital of Niger.

Thanks to the “Second Chance School” project, a total of 280 children and teenagers per year, of whom at least 50% are girls, enjoy quality education.
