08.02.2011 - The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Berne (SDC) has recently allocated Enfants du Monde a 1,8 million Swiss franc mandate for a period of three years for the training of educators in West Africa.
This training course, developed by the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, with technical support provided by Enfants du Monde, teaches educators, animators and supervisors the “Text Education” pedagogical method. This method serves to improve the quality of education offered to children, youth and adults in several countries in the region (including Tchad, Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali).
Not only is this mandate an important acknowledgement of the quality of our work but it also guarantees the improvement of the quality of education which, in turn, will have a positive effect on the future of many impoverished children.
