04.13.2010 - Kelly Etienne, a faithful Enfants du Monde volunteer for three years, organized a photo exhibition with fourth-graders from Anières as part of her academic studies in education. “I based my work on the photo exhibition by Enfants du Monde, which deals with wealth, poverty and the future”, explained Kelly.
“Pupils have very much enjoyed the nature of this project”, added the young teacher. “They all got involved. While collaborating, listening to one another and cooperating, they strengthened their friendship and became a more united class. So this project benefited and developed their open-mindedness and their interpersonal relations. Now, they have become young Enfants du Monde volunteers.”
Through this exhibition, the nine year-old pupils collected funds for the education program implemented by Enfants du Monde in Haiti.
“Moved by Haitian tears,
Opening their hearts,
Kids devoted their energies
To help broken souls.
Love, solidarity and harmony,
Saving lives in Haiti.”
